Now this, is an interesting combination. A 1976 Triumph Spitfire with a 12A Mazda Rx-7 5-speed swap. For $4,000 it sounds like a good price, even though it does need a little bit of work. It's pretty much an British roadster, without the British roadster reliability.

I'd buy it if the upper radiator hose was longer...

Need it I do.

Rotaries are more reliable? That's not saying much.
Anyways, NP. I like these better than MGs.

Good: weight distribution probably now closer to 50/50.
Bad - oil consuming engine combined with rust-prone body and electronics made of moonbeams and cobwebs.
What could possibly go wrong? But what do I know?

I didn't think it was the British engines that were so unreliable, I thought it was everything else?

Apex seals AND Lucas wiring? What could possibly go wrong?

Everything all at once.

Neat :) that thing must absolutely rip. Probably somewhere close to 700kg :)
Engine bay looks like tentacle porn though...

All that work, and the bumper overriders remain.

Lol, that about sums it up :P

Haha, Right. Those would be the first things I'd take off.

That engine bay will cost about 4k to clean up. Who put it together, a four year old?

Is it still subservient to Lucas Prince of Darkness? If so then the reliability will not be improved.

Proooobably it still has Lucas bits on it. So it's mildly fucked.

You should paint nipples on 'em.
